It gives us great ogre pleasure to invite you to participate in the 2025 Tee for Two Tournament at San Lameer Country Club! Grab your Donkey sidekick (aka your golf partner) and get ready for a Shrek-tastic 3-day adventure filled with fairytale fun, fierce competition, and magical memories!

Entry Details

Lord Farquaad's Fees

• Entry Fee: R7,000 per couple
• Includes: Meals, green fees, and competition fees, gifts,
complimentary drinks, Proshop voucher and great prizes.
• Excludes: Golf carts and accommodation
• Limited to 60 Couples! First come, first served – don’t be a slow ogre!

2025 Gala Theme

Shrek & Friends! Saturday, 17 May 2025

Get ready for a Fairytale Adventure! Dress up as your favorite Shrek character at the Gala Evening for a chance to win the Best Dressed Couple Prize! (Ogres, knights, dragons, and talking donkeys welcome!) Please note this is not compulsory.

Tournament Format & Rules

Even Shrek Has Rules!

Betterball Stableford – 60 exclusive couples competing over 3 days.

Handicaps:

  • All players to play of their official GOLFRSA Handicap index. All players must have entered at least 6 rounds in the last 12 months prior to the tournament.
  • Players will be allowed to play off any tee, provided that the tee you start on day one will be the tee for the
    rest of the tournament.
  • Your handicap for the tournament will be calculated on course handicap from the tee
    you decided to play from. All players will play off a 85% handicap allowance. Handicaps will be frozen from
    Wednesday 14 May 2025.

Tournament Schedule

Wednesday, 14 May 2025 – Battle of the Sexes

  • Complimentary Practice Round – Don’t be an Onion, Warm Up!
  • Shotgun Start: 11:00 (Not compulsory but highly encouraged – even Donkey’s playing!)
  • Format: Individual Stableford – Men vs. Ladies
  • Prize Giving: 18:00 (Who will reign supreme – the knights or the princesses?)
  • Registration & Welcome: 18:00 for 19:00
  • Feast Fit for a King (or a Swamp Dweller): 19:00

Thursday, 15 May 2025 – Let the Tournament Begin!

  • Breakfast: 06:00 – 09:00 (Start your day like Lord Farquaad – minus the height issues!)
  • Tee Times: 07:00 – 09:00 (10-minute intervals – no pushing like Puss in Boots!)
  • Format: Betterball Stableford
  • Halfway Stop: 10-minute break (own account)
  • Lunch: 12:30 – 15:00
  • Evening Banquet: From 18:00 onwards

Friday, 16 May 2025 – The Swamp Showdown!

  • Breakfast: 06:00 – 09:00
  • Tee Times: 07:00 – 09:00
  • Format: Betterball Stableford
  • Halfway Stop: 10-minute break (own account)
  • Lunch: 12:30 – 15:00
  • Evening at Leisure: Explore the Kingdom!

Saturday, 17 May 2025 – The Grand Finale!

  • Breakfast: 06:00 – 09:00
  • Tee Times: 08:00 – 10:00
  • Format: Betterball Stableford
  • Halfway Stop: 10-minute break (own account)
  • Gala Dinner & Prize Giving – Enchanted Evening: 18:30 for 19:00 (Who will be the ultimate Lord or Lady of the Links?)
